Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA) has partnered with Tesla Motors, Inc. to construct a large-scale advanced battery manufacturing facility known as the Gigafactory. Panasonic's role in the Giga-factory will be to manufacture and supply cylindrical lithium-ion cells! In 2025, we’re excited to open a 4.7 million-square-foot facility in De Soto, Kansas. When the new facility is fully operational, we anticipate an annual production capacity of over 30 GWh.
